I bought Harbinger gloves a few years ago and they have fantastic wrist support. Even though I don't wear gloves anymore, I'll still wear these once in a while when my wrist starts acting up every once in a while. Heck, I wear them to work sometimes when my wrist is sore. (Swinging a hammer with a sore wrist can be painful)

If you really want to improve your grip, don't use gloves. Don't use straps either. Use chalk if you have to, either way without gloves you'll adapt and get a lot stronger with your grip.
