You're talking about $900 in sake alone. Divide that by 20 people, and that would be $45 in their usual revenue in sake alone. Toss in the beer and food, and there's no way I can them coming out profitable?

Anyways, Shanghai River.
Decor was nice, service was good, but somehow, I really expected more from the food. It was good and solid, but it just didn't blow me away. I think I've had about the same level of food at other shanghai restaurants.

its a popular idea in japan. there were a few izakaya's i went to that offered nomihoudai and tabehoudai (all you can drink+eat) for like a set price which included everything except the premium sake (they gave u the cheaper stuff). it works in japan since their more weaksauce but im surprised they offer it here. going to inquire about it for sure.
