it is very true.. I played goalie a lot during street hockey days, and started back up and on blades for the first time about 5-6 years ago in pich.. took a good year to get used to it as it is totally different.. but now i am vey comfortable.
it is true, i think like a player in net, and vice versa when i am out. i know the things goalies have to go through and it gives me a bit of an edge. as a goalie in a lower div, it is actually harder to predict things as the players generally just have their head down and try to shoot as hard as they can/not lose the puck.. fluttering pucks are way harder to read than hard straight shots too.
