I don't hate Luigi, either........ just not a blind supporter. I think he's just overrated. Not his fault or anyone's, for that matter. I don't get the consistency comment, however. How is he consistent? More a reflection of the team's play, me thinks.
Does he make great saves? Yes. Does he steal games? Not always or often. He is not god's gift to goaltending. Anyway, it's a moot point. He's here and here to stay.
