Kesler took a number of years to develop into the beast he is today. Hodgson will/might take another year or 2 in order to develop into his full potential.

And there's a wisdom to this - the marathon runners who take a while to get up to speed, but will maintain the pace for years... as opposed to the sprinters who come out and kick ass their first couple years in the league and then vanish when you really need them (speaking of which, where'd Ovie go this playoffs??)
