The vastus lateralis is where I feel it. It only happens during the 1st set or 2, then subsequent sets I don't feel anything. I've also noticed that, comparing both legs in the same spot, the symptomatic leg seems to be numb now in that spot all the time.
Has anyone experienced this? Stretching doesn't seem to help before my sets.

must be the acid build up in your IT band.
very good for stretching out after a solid leg workout/cardio session.
