Ebisu on Robson sells Royal Miyagi's at a very reasonable price and are guaranteed super fresh, we sell hundreds every night so we get new stock daily (inside note: from the same supplier as many "top-end" oyster bars)
People who pay a premium price for the same oyster are just kidding themselves into thinking it's "better". I've seen Royal Miyagi on the fresh sheet at Joe Fortes and Rodney's going for close to $3 per piece ($18 for half a dozen) and they can't possibly be any "fresher" than any other "good" restaurant unless they dive into the ocean to dig them up as soon as you place your order. Ebisu's oyster sell so fast, they are shucked only when you order them, they don't sit in the restaurant for more than hours at a time. Ebisu sells it for $16 for a dozen, during Happy Hour it's even cheaper, 99 cents per piece.
My 2 cents.
