I got Mi Quang and Mi Cao Lau, very impressed.
The Mi Cao Lau was awesome. Loved the garlic sauce on top, love the thinly sliced pork. I'm coming back for sure.
Some questions about the stuff in the Rau Thom.
I think there was romaine lettuce, thai basil and mint in there, but there were 2 herbs I couldn't identify.
The first one was a smooth leaf, smooth edges, slender and comes to a point. It was peppery in taste and was actually a little spicy.
The second one was small, it looked similar to the mint leaves, but with a smoother surface, but pointier edges.
Would be awesome if you could fill me in on what those were.
I love it when you can see the owners just chill out and sit down for a meal. The older guy was fiddling with the batteries of some remote controls, and the lady had on an apron. Somehow, seeing this always gives me a little more confidence in the honesty and authenticity of a place.
Cheers and Best of luck!
