Cost.
Not everyone has the financial disposability of being a top-tier Canuck fan. I mean, $250 for a piece of garment, $200+ per ticket in RG, $500 per for post?
I know of some people who can't pay for premium Canuck merchandise and haven't watched a single game live but be just as big a Canuck fan as your next homer.
IMO what's sadder than the above example you've explained, are fans who need to shit on other fans because they can't afford the same stuff they can. I mean, just look at how much shit Hondaracer gets on this thread alone
