(I post this cus I need some Vancouverites over here!)
It's full of neat things culturally, foreign people, biking, hiking expeditions, a backpackers and resort places. More cultural, but still an Asia place if you end up there. Kunming is nearby, but in my opinion, is OKAY for tourism. It's mostly a trade city, so the culture and interests are almost seeped out of it.
I am a temporary resident here. If you do come for a vacation (or other), lemme know!
