I didn't want to create a new thread so I thought I'd ask here.
I'm in the market for a new TV and I am planning on using it as a computer monitor as well.
Based on my own knowledge and what I've read online, I've kinda figured out the following:
TV:
to ensure optimal viewing I'm thinking of the following specs for my TV:
at least 32", I'm probably getting one bigger than that because I really want to use it as a TV as well obviously
Samsung (don't want any inferior brands but if anyone has other suggestions outside of Samsung let me know)
LED
1080p (720p not clear enough--huge pixels)
any other specs I should be aware of?
I also want to ensure I won't have problems connecting it to my computer to use as a monitor.
Most HDTVs have HDMI ports, but my desktop has a DVI. Simple solution = get a DVI to HDMI wire?
Is there anything else I should be aware of just to ensure I won't have any issues with connecting it to my desktop?
Any help would be appreciated. I'm really out of the loop with regards to TVs.
Thanks
