As far as I know (I've only been in one accident, same thing, I rear ended somebody), ICBC deals with all the injury claims and such, you lose the same amount of discount with or without injury. If they take it to court, ICBC deals with the lawyers and such.
To you, there should be no difference in terms of money out of pocket.
