Bought top end LCD in 2006, 2010 it started having issues, didnt buy warrenty (was getting half price at employee price) Now every six months picture dissapears (sound remains). i keep the tv unplugged for a day, and its ok for another 6 months.
now bought a LED, got warrenty. LED is still new tech.. cover ur ass and investment. paid for 2, got 3,,pretty standard deal
