I'm not sure what tasks/Apps you're doing where you find it to be so slow - perhaps you'd like to share them so those of us with an iPad can try them for ourselves and see what all the fuss is about.
Everything. Reading ibooks, pages take an extra half-second to a second to flip sometimes. Switching to the email app, it takes a second to load. Switching tabs in the browser, sometimes it "loses" the page you were on, so it has to refresh the page. Clicking on text boxes in the browser, it takes a second or two for the keyboard to pop up. And even longer for it to become responsive. And sometimes, there is a slight lag between hitting the keys and the letters appearing. Some games are completely unplayable, such as Monkey Island, Pulse, and many more. I have given up on gaming. The whole thing just feels like a cheap midrange phone. You could get similar performance from a $250 Android LG or Samsung phone. Not something you expect from a $600 to $740 "high end" iphone 4. These are all quantifiable - I could make a video if I wanted.

If you don't notice these things, you just don't know any better. AND THAT IS A GOOD THING. BELIEVE ME. What I don't get though, is that more people don't notice them. I know most iphone/ipad users are Apple FANS and are blind and ignorant to anything negative about "their" company's products, but with SO many users, you'd expect more people to notice how slow their phone is. Guess you wouldn't notice unless you have experience with other smartphones, computers, and similar devices, I guess.

PS this is the first time you have been level headed and participatory in a discussion, instead of coming off like a mindless troll because someone doesn't prefer the same phone as you. That's why I responded.
