i had a passat 1.8t and gave it another shot with a jetta 1.8t.
passat was new when i had it and plagued with problems.... mostly electrical..
wolfsberg jetta had periodic mechanical problems and leaking water in the cablin. while the stock bbs rims corroded eating the rims killing every tire it had over time.. vw usa had a recall on it but vw canada will not resolve the issue for there are not that many wolfsburgs out there... and exceeded its warranty period...
so i had problems with electrical, mechanical, and body from my 2 x vw's from the last decade.
