some places i visited in the past week or so:
Joyeux Cafe
Had my usual seafood noodle with the tomato broth. Didn't taste as good as the previous times I had it. But the chicken wing dish saved it for me.

Chau's Kitchen
Usually won't go into an Asian place full of caucasians, but I was craving pho and needed a place with decent atmosphere for lunch. Though the pho was expensive and small, their beef carpaccio was amazing. I'd go back just for that dish (though still on the small side).

Insadong
My new favorite place for Korean in Vancouver (well . . . Coquitlam/Burnaby in this case). Came here on several occasions the past month. Though there were dishes that were misses for me (ie. I preferred the bibimbap from Yaohan food court more than theirs
), I'd highly recommend their tempura, seafood udon and ling cod soup.
