well i went in for my genius bar appt today and she said everything that i said happened would warrant a replacement unit IF i was still under the 1 year warranty. she told me it expired 3 days ago! so i was like "FUCK" what now then?

she then gave me a new sim card for free to try. she said thats pretty much all i can do if i dont wanna pay the $229 to get a new phone. but she said try calling applecare anyways and see if they can sell it to you since its only 3 days past the expiration.

got back to the office and called applecare and they took care of it and sold me the additional year no questions asked.

now just need to book another appt at the genius bar and get the replacement.

THIS is why i love apple. they actually care about customers.
