You should have a factory restored phone once it's done. Book an appointment for the genius bar on the apple website @ the store of your choosing. Show up & explain the problem and you should be out of there with a brand new phone within 5 minutes.
I had the same issue and that's how long it took to get a new replacement.

Can you opt for an unlocked version for additional fee?
What about getting an upgrade to a 32gb for an additional fee?
