Damn, that's what I was afraid of. The water I can deal with, the bugs... I can't stand. Almost went up this weekend, but my friend was busy for today so I'm postponing my trip up there until early/mid September.
I may do an alpine touring ski trip up there this winter. If I do, I'm totally skiing across the lake to the glacier on the other side.
