You think that "everything is fine the way that it is"; evidently, if your girlfriend is always bugging you about getting married, then everything is NOT fine the way that it is.

"Fine" is a subjective assessment of the status quo usually arrived at by two distinct parties who are under no compulsion to agree with each other.

Contrary to your assessment, everything may not be fine.

IMHO, some girls need a sense of commitment, security, belonging, longevity, whatever you want to call it, and getting married is the realization of that need.

Anyways, I digressed from the OP's question.
