I don't know what the admission averages will be for you in 2012, but this year UBC admission was really competitive. I got into SFU business, but I got rejected from UBC (couldn't even get into arts, and this happened to my other friend as well). Imo, you should try your best and aim for the highest mark you can achieve, because it will probably be difficult to get in with 80%. Make sure you work on your supplementals early as well.
