I guess I'm lucky that my GF (and her mom) doesn't care about a big wedding. She just wants the ring and her mom wants more grandkids. My cousin just got married to a brown/white girl (big family) and they ended up with like 400 guests with a $40k tab on their dime.

Unfortunately, me being Filipino and her being Chinese means we can't really have a small reception (sub 100 guests) without offending some family.

Thinking about a destination wedding.
