I thought it would be annoying to read books on the ipad, but for me that hasn't been the case. I actually like turning off all the lights, and just setting the brightness to medium. I read for up to 4 hours at a time like this sometimes.
IMO it's better to get a multi use tablet like ipad or galaxy 10 or touchpad (
) than something that will ONLY read e-books. Besides. the e-ink on those things is blotchy and ugly, and you need ambient light to read them, so it's actually harder on the eyes IMO
