Heard from Global news that Modano actually told a couple people that the Canucks wanted him to consider playing for them for at least this coming year. Squire said not sure if it was a actual contract offer or just PTO, but Modano knew after last year he didn't have it in him. Just food for thought.
We could have had Modano on our team, but Minnesota wanted him more, all worked out though since we got Trevor!
