Just started at starbucks as a P/T job last month, IMO it's a genuinely fun job but the pay is pretty shitty, $9 to start and promotions are just as bad, but coming from someone who didn't really like to meet new people and generally afraid of customer service I've learned a lot over the last month or so. People who work here are very friendly and easy going, drinks weren't as overwhelming as I imagined.
My previous job was dishwasher/food prep which paid much better at around $14 an hour also part time, higher stress and the work was boring but made a lot of friends
I guess you need to evaluate the type of experience you can get from each job, my previous employer would've hired me in a heartbeat but I really wanted to try something new and I have no regrets. I'll probably stay at starbucks for about a year because the pay is just pathetic but I want it to at least count for something on my resume and they're pretty flexible with my school schedule. I don't really need the money anyways since I live at home with a pretty supportive family so I'm just here having fun lol
