The rechargeable batteries don't have the labels on them. Technically you could use your own batteries but you'd have to peel the labels off and make sure that the batteries are compatible with the device. There's a giant FAQ/guide online but I can't seem to find it atm.
Personally I have never tried the Iolite but there's more info about the MFLB and other vapes here:
