^ Everyone else did have a shitty version. Maybe that's why Google is planning their own competitor to Siri. Why would Google do that? Oh yeah, because they don't have it yet.
Comparing Siri to simple voice recon is like comparing iCloud to Dropbox or Google Docs or all those other half baked wannabee cloud offerings.
Apple dropped the ball on the hardware side, but nailed it on the software side.
