They activated it for you, so is it part of a contract? Do you get subsidy back from the carrier?
I renewed my contract with Fido. They put in an order for me for the iPhone 4S with no idea when it'll actually get shipped. I am getting 'Back Order Status Update' e-mails every other day, with no change to the status...
I have been trying to hunt down a locked Fido from Fido stores the past few days. But if it's possible to just go to Apple and buy one and still get subsidy from Fido then that's even better!
