I use the term gay. I use it to describe something that displeases me or is super fucking annoying. In the same way most people use it.
Now I don't use it to offend anyone, it's just an adjective I use that I feel perfectly describes some situations. I have absolutely nothing against gay people.
Moving on, I used it in front of a friend one time. She was offended by it. So I said sorry and I told her I would not use that word in her presence again. Just to be respectful. But, I told her that I will not stop using it. Because it is my right to. But, that doesn't mean I have to be disrespectful to her.
Just because something doesn't affect you, doesn't mean it doesn't affect someone else. So in those instances, just be respectful. This goes for all things.

Is polish chick black? No. She's polish. How does that offend her? Not to mention the context was friendly between friends. How do black people today use the word among one another? I think that's partially how it got transferred over to usage between other races. I think OP is in the clear here but one thing for sure is please.... stay safe.
