What do you guys think about: Grand Carrera Calibre 17RS2 Automatic Chronograph

It's $8,000. Something more affordable but in similar style would be nice. My ideal budget would be around $1000-$3000.

Never owned a watch over $400, just want to buy a gift to myself.
