The point of freedom of speech is so that you are allowed something controversial. However, do not expect that everyone is going to respond politely to controversial things that you said.
Saying "Nigga" - especially if you have some whiteness in you, is controversial.
If she found it offensive (since her homegirl is black), then she'll give you an earful. Expect that. Don't bitch about it.
