I can't remember who, but in the case of the first guy who asked us to vote for his dog in the Fido contest (thread has disappeared) - his dog actually was the cutest!

Making a thread, asking to check out the entries in a contest is ok in my books. Don't expect me to vote for you (a complete stranger) just because you asked me to though. Chances are, I'll submit a vote, but for the best option (which may not necessarily belong to the thread starter).
