Having had my 32 gig TP for a month and a half now, and 2 weeks with CM7, a few things I can say.
Get the 32 gig. You will lose 5 gig for WebOS alone, not sure how much memory CM7 takes up.
IMO, $180 is too much to pay for a 16 gig TP but that is just my opinion. I think a $200 netbook with more memory will do what you want but better.
