I have 2 telus tv's which are on standby (not turned on). I watch TV maybe once per week and we only have like just the basic-basic channels.
Just tried nabs' suggestion with Speedtest.net right now and I got:
PING: 94ms, DOWNLOAD SPEED: 1.93MBps, UPLOAD SPEED: 0.72Mbps
Tried again:
PING: 13ms, DOWNLOAD SPEED: 1.19MBps, UPLOAD SPEED: 0.57Mbps
I think I am below average?
I will try another test later with the TV's unplugged
