Friday, February 17 - Giant Alumni Night: Cody Franson

Tonight's honouree started his junior career as a list player for the Giants. Little did we know that the lanky young kid from Sicamous would turn into one of the best defenseman in Giants history en route to becoming a promising young d-man in the NHL. After beginning his career in Nashville, Cody Franson now mans the blueline for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and is sure to become a household name for Canadian hockey fans. He was part of both our 2006 WHL Championship and 2007 Memorial Cup Championship teams, and tonight he'll take his place in our 'Ring of Honour' alongside last season's inductees in a special pre-game ceremony. Wednesday, March 7 - Giant Alumni Night: Evander Kane

Following the path of Gilbert Brule and Milan Lucic - two other local boys who became some of greatest Giants ever - Evander Kane enjoyed a meteoric rise to stardom that delivered him to the NHL far earlier than anyone anticipated. He's a 2007 Memorial Cup Champion and current star for the Winnipeg Jets, and tonight he'll become the 7th inductee to our 'Ring of Honour'. We'll continue our Giant Alumni Night tradition by giving away 500 Evander Kane bobbleheads with details on that give-away coming soon.
