Lettuce I'll chop up, throw it in a pasta drainer, run under tap. Veggies like carrots, potatos etc I'll peel them first, quick rinse. Mushrooms same thing, pasta drainer, and fondle them like I fondle my balls in the shower to get em nice n clean n shiny.
