my external Lacie HD fell from my PC case (close to 50cm tall) on to the carpet, and now it won't be recognized by my PC. also, a weird noise is comming from the HD itself, seems like it is broken. from what i know about HD's, this was definitely NOT good for it.

is there a way to still extract some data from this HD, i got some stuff on there that is needed for work and school. anyone i can take it to get it fixed?
