Girls are like that. They will stay with guys they don't like or like that much, until a better guy appears, i.e. hopping from tree to tree, rather than being single.
There is probably intention of breaking up before hand, the new guy is either the last straw that broke the camel's back, or the guy is just that much better (richer, hotter, smarter, etc.)
There is no point in thinking about it anymore. Improve yourself (save money, work out, spend time with friends, new dates, etc.). A shitload of people have walked your road before. Give heart out, prepare to get hurt. Never give heart out, never get hurt.
