How rounded and is it easily accessible? Pair of vice grips should work, unless the bolt is hard to replace. Probably damaged by crescent wrench, yeah?

How many socket set can you own? How many wrenches? These do not work 100% of the time. But when they do work, you will sure be glad that you bought it. I have a whole bunch of different tools, all for one purpose: broken and stripped fasteners. If one doesn't do it, you move onto the next. One of them will work. You can't give up. It's like going to a singles bar. If you hit on a girl, and she doesn't flirt back, you move onto the next. This is exactly why I'm still dating and have girlfriends, even though I'm married. I go home to the wife, and she's got a bad attitude, doesn't want to cook, and starts nagging; I leave and go see one of my other girls. Why should I stay? Always have a back-up, right?
