The D3000 sucks. It's so noisy with anything other than direct sunlight. If you're gonna do a lot of low light you might as well get the D3100, D5100, or D7000. Their ability of their sensors help tremendously in low light situations. I shot that w/ my D7000.
Of if you're rich, get the D3s  ISO 12800 no problem!!!!! I think the D3s @ 10,000 ISO is less noisy than the D3000 at 800, no joke.

10,000 ISO!!!??? wtff lol. Although I wouldn't want to upgrade yet. I still love my D3000.. within the people I know that is into photography I know I take better pictures than most of my friends who has 60D's Mark 2's, D7000's. Mainly cause I know my camera very well
