I tried getting into the last Oblivion game but just couldn't get past how they wielded their weapons, very clunky and looked like something out of the PS2 and Xbox era...
feels very robotic and unatural when youre fighting would be the best way to explain it
When I play these types of games I'm always some sort of warrior class mainly fighting with weapons.
The other issue also is the way the characters and even horses move, especially on uphill or downhill terrain, it's just horrible.... these are things that you do for most of the game, fight and walk around so pretty big deal
Actually a very good article on Kotaku linked here, 10 Things I Hate About Skyrim pretty much nails some of my complaints

It's a game. I don't know any other RPG's that wield swords "realistically". I play in first person so I can't really comment on how things move.
Did you enjoy GTA? Did you complain about how unrealistic that game was too?
I'm not saying the games perfect, it definitely needs a little more depth. But for what it is, it's pretty good IMO.
And the link you posted, the guy whines about horses not being able to walk backwards, the graphics, character creation, game bugs, 80 hour gameplay, etc.
First off, it doesn't take an hour to create a character if you're not a retard. Graphics on most top tier games aren't any more realistic. Who cares if the horse doesnt walk backwards. I haven't encountered many bugs in the game. 80 hours gameplay is better than 5 hours of gameplay. Look at WoW, COD, BF, etc. I'm sure most people sink more than 80 hours into those games.
