Although unlocking the bootloader is a great thing, the chances of this happening to the playbook are slim (but it is possible), and if it did, it may take a long while to get an alternative operating system into a state where it will work properly with the PlayBook's hardware.

Hope this has cleared some of it up for you all.

Message to people claiming that users will moan to RIM when our devices go wrong:

Only retards who have no idea that what they're doing is against RIMs preferences will complain if something goes wrong.
