I had encountered a problem with my laptop this morning and would appreciate your thoughts on what the problem may be and how I my be able to resolve it. I have a Dell XP1530 and today, when I turned on the laptop and the screen remains black (no boot screen, no Windows startup). The machine seems to be running (hard drive spinning etc.) but no display. I connect the laptop to an external monitor and also nothing happens. Any ideas?

Please kindly help me out.
