When at the Genius Bar, if your iPhone replacement comes in anything other than the regular retail box then it is a refurb.
9/10 your replacement with be a refurb, there's nothing wrong with them. Apple has high refurb quality benchmarks, all cases and glass are replaced, also your warranty is transferred to the new serial number. The only bad thing about getting a refurb is the uncertainty, not knowing the history of the item. Truth be told getting a brand new replacement could even be a lemon, not just refurbs.
