i'm also in the market for a new PSU for the 28nm based cards
i am aiming for the 850w range...i'd think 1000w is overkill especiallly since the new cards are gonna be more power efficient...by how much? we'll find out on thursday.
1000w+ is only necessary if you go triple/quad SLI/CF or SLI/CF for dual GPU cards IMO
