My TFSA is up 60.5% on the year, my cash account is up 19.9%.

Here is my disclaimer, though it may seem as though this is a great return, and it is, I was not in the markets at all between April 2010 and September 2011. I picked up some stock during the downturn in 2009, sat on it until April 2010 and dumped them all and decided that the bullish behavior in the markets would eventually subside and there would be an economic contraction... eventually, this fall, another buying opportunity came up and I jumped on it.

I missed out on making a lot of money while I was out of the markets, I should have at least invested in DFN or some other high dividend paying stock.. even some preffered shares... oh well.
