Nop, you only need to pay the purchase in full on the CC that gives double warranty. How to apply the extra warranty vary bank to bank... in my case, I called the line they listed on the CC booklet, sent them the receipt by email, and I went to the service center to get a quote. The service center quoted me $xxx, the CC company gave me the choice of paying the repair or they could credit the same amount to me if I buy a new similar item (TV for TV, PC for PC... so on)

Check your CC booklet, it will have all the stuff you need to know to get it going.
