I've said it before: companies do not sell money losing products (unless its to make money elsewhere).
Warranties make these companies money. For the few lemons that get their money's worth and more, the vast majority pay for something they do not use.
You'd be better to take all the money you'd spend on warranties and invest it. They return will pay for the odd time you have to pay for an out of pocket repair.
