she would notice as i was debating between the 16-35 as well to buy for myself before she got me the 17-40
as much as i want to complete my trinity of F2.8 L zooms, i can't justify the cost of a new 16-35 F2.8 L II.
it's a lot cheaper in the US though, i think at $1200 USD new? 2.8 would definately be nice, but the cost over the 17-40 and also the filter size of 82mm gets to me.
i don't use an UWA that much so it boiled down to the 17-40L in the end.
She knew i wanted the 100L Macro as well, but thought i would use the UWA more so
