They'll probably do like last time where the existing iPad goes on sale before the new one comes out. Apple has always sold the previous iPhone (as a cheaper alternative) along with the new iPhone, but they've never sold both iPads (except for a short transition period from old to new). I don't see them changing.

Well, you could have been someone who bought a Tegra 2 ASUS Transformer a couple months back only to have the Tegra 3 powered Transformer Prime get released.
